Care and maintenance
After each client, wipe the blades and the pivot with the cloth from the box, and keep the scissors dry.
At the end of the working day, put a drop of oil on the pivot with the oil pen, open and close the blades a few times, then wipe off the excess.
If the blades feel loose or stiff, adjust the tension with the key from the box. Store the scissors closed, in the box or a case, and have them sharpened by a specialist.
Shipping and returns
Ships in 1 to 2 working days with CTT. Mainland Portugal: €4.99 standard or €8.99 express. Free shipping from €350. Other destinations are in the shipping policy.

To go with it

Kaze 6.0″
Think about the work you do most often in a day. That’s how you choose your Sutori. For scissor over comb, most barbers use a longer blade than 5.0 or 5.5 inches.
-
Shinobi 5.0″: precision
If your day is outlines, around the ears and slide cutting, this is the one. The short blade and convex edge give you control in the detail.
-
Zen 5.5″: everyday versatility
If you do a bit of everything, from sections to finishing, this is the scissor you’ll have in your hand most of the day.
-
Kaze 6.0″: texture and weight removal
If you work with thick hair or need to take out weight, add Kaze to your cutting scissor. It takes out about 30% per pass.

Questions
Which Sutori is for me?
Shinobi 5.0″ for precision and detail work, Zen 5.5″ for everyday cutting, Kaze 6.0″ for texture and weight removal. Kaze is a thinning scissor, so it works alongside one of the other two.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
To Portugal and every other EU country. We ship within 1 to 2 working days, and in mainland Portugal it usually arrives 1 to 3 working days later. The cost is shown at checkout, and shipping is free from €350.
Can I return it?
Consumers can withdraw within 14 days of delivery, as the law provides. Professional customers can return unused scissors within 14 days. The full conditions are in the returns policy.
When and where should I sharpen it?
When the blade starts to push the hair instead of cutting it. Take it to a specialist in hair scissors: Shinobi has a convex edge, which needs someone who works on convex edges. Every sharpening removes steel, so only sharpen when it needs it.
What is Lifetime Care?
A maintenance programme for the first 130 units: 50 Shinobi, 50 Zen and 30 Kaze. It covers inspection, cleaning, tension adjustment and sharpening when normal wear makes it necessary. Shipping to and from Sutori is paid by the owner. The full terms are on the warranty page.
Is there a left-handed version?
Not yet. Left-handed Sutori scissors are on the way. Sign up on the left-handed page and we’ll let you know when they arrive.
How do I set the tension?
With the key in the box. Hold the scissors by the finger ring, tip up, open the other blade until it’s level and let it go. It should fall most of the way and stop just before closing. If it closes completely, tighten a little. If it barely moves, loosen it.
